Starbucks Caramel Brulee Latte Copycat Recipe

This copycat Starbucks caramel brulée latte recipe is almost identical to any caramel latte you’ve had before.

You’ll make coffee or espresso (as strong or mild as you prefer), add some hot, foamy milk, and then mix in caramel sauce.

You can make the sauce yourself, or buy it at the store. Honestly, if you want this quick, there are plenty of ready-made sauces you can use, and they’re not super expensive.

Of course, if you want this with fewer calories, you can always use sugar-free coffee syrup.

But where this recipe differs from any other caramel latte is the topping.

You’ll add Premium Salted Caramel Sprinkles, adding a layer of crunchy, sweet-salty goodness to every sip.

How to Make Starbucks Caramel Brulee Latte

This recipe is enough for two drinks.

Ingredients:

  • Brewed Coffee or Espresso - depending on how strong or mild you like it
  • Milk - use whatever milk you like best
  • Caramel Sauce - make it yourself or find a jar in the store
  • Whipping Cream - for the top
  • Salted Caramel Sprinkles - this is the key to the brulee flavor

Method:

  1. Pour the milk into a microwave-safe container and microwave in 30-second intervals until hot.
  2. Alternatively, warm it on the stove, over low heat, until it just begins to simmer around the edges.
  3. While the milk warms, gently whisk the cream until soft peaks. Set aside.
  4. Brew the coffee and divide it between two mugs.
  5. Add half of the caramel sauce to each mug, then stir until well combined.
  6. If you have a frother, froth the milk until foamy. Then divide it between the two mugs.
  7. Top each mug with whipped cream, and drizzle the last 2 tablespoons of caramel.
  8. Scatter the salted caramel sprinkles over each mug.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

How to Steam Milk at Home

If you’ve got a fancy coffee machine, chances are you have a steamer. But if you don’t, there are a few ways to make yummy steamed milk.

On the Stove:

  1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan over low-medium heat.
  2. Stir gently with a spatula to keep the bottom from burning.
  3. Heat until the edges begin the bubble but do not let it boil.
  4. Take the pot off the heat, then carefully but quickly whisk by hand until you see froth on top.

In the Microwave:

  1. Pour the milk into a microwave-safe glass jar. It shouldn’t be more than half full.
  2. Secure the lid and shake for about 30 seconds, until it’s frothy.
  3. Remove the lid and microwave the milk for 30 seconds.

Use a French Press

  1. Heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave until it starts to steam.
  2. Pour the hot milk into a French press and put the lid in place.
  3. Starting slowly, depress the plunger and lift it a few times.
  4. Move faster until the milk is frothy.

Get a Frothing Wand

  1. You can find these in most stores, and they’re pretty cheap.
  2. Pour the milk into your mug and microwave it for 30 seconds.
  3. Alternatively, heat the milk on the stove, then pour it into the mugs.
  4. Use the frother to mix the milk until it’s foamy.
